It's not steam BTW, it's Valve.

Not all updates are magnificant, eye popping updates.

They were fixing bugs and they thought that Crit-A-Cola should be found and not just Crafted.

Lemme refrain what i said/meant. i just thought this should have been done a quite a while ago (crit a cola came out in April) All other non-promo items are drop-able, it just seems odd this wasn't for so long. hence a fail in that it is a way late update.

oh and Steam was developed by Valve corp. unless we want to get uber specific and blame the direct few ppl who solely work on tf2, steam and valve for all intents and purposes are essentially the same.

Steam's a gaming platform made by Valve, and the Steam team is in no direct way related to the TF2 team. Saying that Steam did it is kinda like blaming the Red Ring of Death on Windows because Microsoft makes Windows.

Annnyyway it really doesn't matter, and I do agree with your post. The fact that they didn't have it drop explains very well why it took me so long to acquire crit-a-cola--I had to craft it.

Oh well, I wish they'd optimize the CPU performance--there's something in TF2 that's really been slowing things down. I wish I could help them debug it. :P It wasn't LOD on the new weapons as that's been fixed. I'd almost be willing to bet there's an issue with some core data structures not being used optimally, like vectors being used when lists should be or vice versa. In the end, who knows? Not anyone outside the TF2 team presumably.
