CSn PUG Nights

(PUG = 6v6 pickup game)

HI thurr! Just trying to gauge the community's interest in doing a pug night once a week, during which a bunch of Sandvich Munchers could get together and play 6v6 TF2, cycling people in after every match and that sort of thing. One of eniGma's sister clans used to do this, and it was always a blast. Tonight, I played in a lobby with a bunch of CSn folks (hope I wasn't too serious :D ), and it was buckets o' fun. Anyway, not trying to step on anyone's toes as far as getting a CSn lobby team together goes; I just want more 6v6 (my personal favorite way to play TF2) action with familiar folks!

So would you be interested in CSn having a designated night during the week when people could meet up (in Mumble? Does anyone know how many people we can accommodate in our Mumble server at once?), pick teams, and blow each others' heads off? If so, what night would work best for you?

Good idea smeemo. IMO i'd say mid week would be best. I'll throw in my hat for wednesday or friday. But, designated or not on off days i will make events to see if anyone is interested.

You should do it on Monday, Thursday, or Wednesday, because those are the days I am least likely to be able to make it and nobody wants a watermelon on their team.

Especially a watermelon that cant spycheck correctly in vents. > :o

This concept does sound nice though, I agree with it.

I know Ackbar mentioned something about purchasing her own Mumble channel in another thread, but how many members does our current Mumble set-up support? Just curious.

Is mumble really needed considering that dead-speak is enabled?

Mumble is really a vast improvement over dead-speak at-least in a highly competitive scene like in leagues. Since there is a giant delay when your screaming to your medic that a spy is behind him a split second is all it takes.

Smeemo the mumble you're thinking about holds 15 people. I'm not sure who's it is. I always thought it came from forsakens dollars, and didn't want to flood it with new people. If it is a CsN owned let's look into expanding it. As for is it necessary, no. Not now at least. Its fun to bs in, and would be easier to set up lobbies through it instead of being messaged spammed. So, who's mumble is it?

I think it's CSn-owned. I remember Benny asking me how necessary it was to have the Mumble during the big transition.

It is indeed a CSn mumble for not only CSn but for the sponsored eniGma team, i stopped paying for my own mumble after i got tropp to swap the ventrilo out for this mumble.

I'll look into making it bigger. I'm not wanting it to pack up and not have room for forsakens team.
