What is with all the dinging? I havent ever heard that when I play was it in a update and I missed it or is it something with youtube?

It's a neat thing you can turn on with the console that dings when you do damage. I actually have mine set to do high and low pitch depending on the damage dealt. The commands are:
Code: Select all
tf_dingalingaling "1" // Enables the sound
tf_dingaling_volume "1" // Volume
tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg "50" // higher sound with less damage
tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg "150" // lower sound with more damage
tf_dingaling_wav_override "soundfile.wav" // Will play a different sound effect than the default

Its a setting in the adv multi player options, I also play with damage numbers which shows the amount of damage you did over peoples heads, kind of like a MMO does. I really like it because you can use it like radar when playing a demo or soldier, and helps you aim when playing things like a heavy, scout and even pyro
