Samsung Gear VR and similar products for PC?

So I kinda stumbled upon this yesterday and are kinda curious about it but know very little about it.

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S7 and I remembered that Samsung Gear VR was supporting both that and S6 and really found similar headsets for it. So i started seaching for it if it works with a PC. It does.
And Nvidia "dont know about red team AMD" has Game Stream and I kinda found info about that you might actually with a software called Moonlight with ur andrioid be able to stream any game in Steam for example among others to your android phone. I tried a bit last night but didnt get it to work really.

But I mainly wonder if anyone have tried this out or done a similar thing to stream ur desktop. Even though if its not exact as a 100% VR I wouldnt mind testing it while i have the phone for it anyways.
Drawbacks is 60hz and no VR controls but to have the cockpit feel would be enough for now. Also the res isnt that much more on Oculus or HTC anyways. And it actually have Oculus library I think cause its made mainly with work with Oculus. And buying the Oculus cost even a bit more than the GTX 1080 by itself which is insane to me for a screen but what do I know.
Star Citizen comes to mind Cockpit feeling yeah.

I've had a Samsung Gear set for a long while now, so I guess it's prime time to put in my two cents.

I kinda found info about that you might actually with a software called Moonlight with ur andrioid be able to stream any game in Steam for example among others to your android phone.

Honestly, I would advise playing any major games from Steam on your VR gear for one reason, and that's gotta be heat. After playing not even five minutes of Minecraft VR on mine (which is a Galaxy Note5), my phone became super hot and the main screen was almost unresponsive to touch until it cooled down. I cross tested this on my mother's Galaxy S7 and it seems to heat up even faster after about two minutes of usage. Minor apps on the Oculus store don't cause this as much, but if you're playing a game with moderate textures and graphics for like 30 minutes or so, then your phone becomes the embodiment of hell itself. After all the Galaxy S7s being recalled, I wouldn't take too much of a chance playing larger hd games on it unless you like having your phone feel like it just came out of a deep fryer.

Chances are that the guy in the video could only do it for only a bit before his got really warm, I could be wrong though.

Aside from that, though, I think the gear is pretty interesting. There's quite a couple VR games on the Oculus store that are alright, and some of the better ones use a gamepad. Hopefully we'll be seeing more in the years to come from it.

Thanks on ur feedback man. Well im not 100% sure he uses Nvidia gamestream though and not sure how much that would heat up ur phone but I can understand the problem for sure.
I tested gamestream yesterday. Played some Star Citizen and other games from the other room in my bed using the phone as a controller and video feed from my PC. So the only thing that are active is the video feed and Wifi really.
I cant say that I felt alot of heat testing that but I guess I have to do more testing I guess. My main goal is basicly just so I can test with a cheap headset just to get the feeling how good VR will be.
And the Geforce Game stream was really good to be hounest. But I havent tested the split screen yet, I have to try that before and see how it works. If im not satisfied I will not do it then and wait for a normal price set on the VR headsets.
