Lumberyard - Free game dev software from Amazon

I know some of you are programming and like to play around in dev software. I just found out about this one.
Amazon release a free dev program for making games called Lumberyard and are based on Cryengine. So you know its gonna look fantastic what ever game you feel like making.

Basically Amazon had bought Crytech when they were going under, and now are releasing Cryengine(and it's source code (basically Cryengine's secrets) for free.
All to bolster their cloud computing service(AWS) interesting move, lets see how it plays out - especially for Crytech.. will they start work on a new engine????

No idea really but as you say will be happy if more Crytek games comes out, I still think its the best looking engine even though Unreal have a much newer engine.
And Star Citizen even have Crytek ppl working on the game aswell and have ripped the regular CryEngine apart completly but still have their features in it.

Cryengine is pretty much garbage for anything thats not making nice looking screenshots or testing out GPUs, but I'm downloading this.

Agreed to dissagre Well as a stock engine is pretty bad I guess, but the modded ones seems to be very nice working.
