did you see anything about the new movie "2016, obamas america?" i just found out about this movie today when i was looking at showtimes, so i watched the trailer and holy shit it is ridiculous. i looked at the reviews and half of them were "every american should see this movie, we need to get this guy out of office", one of them actually said something along the lines of "this movie has made me truly believe obama is the antichrist". the movie itself (from what i gather from the trailer) seems to talk about how obama is deliberately trying to run the country into the ground because of some ideas his dad had. pretty much the idea of "bane" from TDKR. i dont know if its scarier that people actually pay money from this, or that it was made in the first place.
once again, i could be wrong about the plot itself, i only watched the trailer. regardless i stand by everything ive said even if im wrong about the actual plot.

It's my personal opinion that the party system is full of shit and needs to be done away with, so people can go back to the days of voting for people based on what they stand for. As I think the majority of (voting) America just bases their decision based on if there is a [D] or an [R] next to their names.
I also think if most of the US actually voted, public opinion would matter more than it does now. Why bother fixing America when you only have to appeal to the just over half of the half that votes (ie; a quarter of the population)?
Political Parties in a Nutshell

The problem was that this is a very recent occurrence. Democrats and Republicans used to be able to disagree on stuff, but then there was this magical thing called "compromise" that would happen. You know, I let something into the law that I'm not a huge fan of as long as you give me something that I want and you don't like. That's how sensible shit gets done.
Reagan was anti-tax, but he signed 7 bills that raised taxes. Bill Clinton was a pro-wellfare, but he signed a bill that created wellfare time.
Unfortunately that thing that our entire system of government was built on, compromise, has been dead ever since the Tea Party showed up with their "if you disagree with me you are wrong AND un-American" attitude.

Eh, the Dems have already agreed to giving in on their golden calf of entitlement reform, but like normal people they said they are not giving that up without getting something in return. The Tea Party response was almost literally "Fuck you, if it's not 100% Tea Party approved, you can eat a bag of dicks."
And did you hear about the Sequester? 1.2 trillion in cuts, half on the military and half on social programs. The military is looking at a 4% cut over 10 years and Republicans act like it will actually end civilization as we know it. Have you even heard a Democrat complain about the 600 billion in social program cuts coming down the line?
The Tea Party has literally voted people out of office because they dared to even talk about compromise. Talking with them about how to appropriately fix the country is like arguing with a 4 year old.
