Blow the fuck out of everything.

Our situation was created when the US refused to share missile secrets with Russia. And Russia looking at the Tsar Bomba as a 1950's joke.

They figured they'd step it up a notch.

So what does a nuke that's 2x the size of anything ever detonated look like? Well that's classified. But we can compare to the largest nuke ever detonated.

2x as big.

What does this mean?
An explosion so big.... You may be spared due to the curvature of the earth. 30 Mile radius instantly vaporized. Another 50 miles leveled, killing all life from the shockwave. Then another 80 miles of either being burned to death or more likely just under what was your house. Then a couple million tonnes of radioactive dirt/whatever else blasted into the air.

One bomb could wipe out most countries.

The American government calls this thing Satan. No, seriously they do. Russia is planning on building at least 50.

Wide scale nuclear deployment has never been a viable tactical option for any of the "major" world powers, and increasing the radioactive yield just increases the amount of environmental damage you wind up blowing back into your own country's face, and at the end of the day you've still got to have a delivery system to get this to your target nation like every other nuclear payload in existence.

If Russia really wanted to give themselves a leg up on the world in the capability to target and damage enemy countries with impunity, they'd be developing a high-orbiting MAC system right now. This is just the government equivalent of a pissing contest: Everyone whips it out and there's a lot of "oooh"s and "oh dear"s, but at the end of the day nothing gets done and everyone winds up with their dick in their hands.
