Texas, making America look stupid again...

Yep, this dumb redneck thinks that civil war is going to break out if Obama is re-elected. Oh, and that we are going to be invaded by UN troops, despite the fact that most UN troops come from the US.

This is why, when the Texas governor was talking about seceding, I said, "Don't let Oklahoma hit you in the ass on the way out." My second thought was, "Hey, would you mind leaving behind Austin? They're cool."

It may be stupid and crazy, but it *IS* a direct threat and will no doubt affect at least some voters. This federal election stuff is turning into such a manipulative clown show

did you see anything about the new movie "2016, obamas america?" i just found out about this movie today when i was looking at showtimes, so i watched the trailer and holy shit it is ridiculous. i looked at the reviews and half of them were "every american should see this movie, we need to get this guy out of office", one of them actually said something along the lines of "this movie has made me truly believe obama is the antichrist". the movie itself (from what i gather from the trailer) seems to talk about how obama is deliberately trying to run the country into the ground because of some ideas his dad had. pretty much the idea of "bane" from TDKR. i dont know if its scarier that people actually pay money from this, or that it was made in the first place.

once again, i could be wrong about the plot itself, i only watched the trailer. regardless i stand by everything ive said even if im wrong about the actual plot.

It's my personal opinion that the party system is full of shit and needs to be done away with, so people can go back to the days of voting for people based on what they stand for. As I think the majority of (voting) America just bases their decision based on if there is a [D] or an [R] next to their names.

I also think if most of the US actually voted, public opinion would matter more than it does now. Why bother fixing America when you only have to appeal to the just over half of the half that votes (ie; a quarter of the population)?

I like what Boler said. People don't give a shit what any of the candidates actually stand for. It's all parties now a days. Even in Congress, if the President's opposing party controls the majority of the seats then every bill that's sent to Congress from the president's desk gets shot down just because he's a Republican and they're Democrats, or vice versa. It's all a crock of shit and this is exactly what good ol' G. Washington fucking warned us about. As much as I joke about Canada being a pussy country or whatever, I'd probably enjoy myself quite a bit more there and my future would probably be a lot safer.

The problem was that this is a very recent occurrence. Democrats and Republicans used to be able to disagree on stuff, but then there was this magical thing called "compromise" that would happen. You know, I let something into the law that I'm not a huge fan of as long as you give me something that I want and you don't like. That's how sensible shit gets done.

Reagan was anti-tax, but he signed 7 bills that raised taxes. Bill Clinton was a pro-wellfare, but he signed a bill that created wellfare time.

Unfortunately that thing that our entire system of government was built on, compromise, has been dead ever since the Tea Party showed up with their "if you disagree with me you are wrong AND un-American" attitude.

Ehh, I wouldn't just blame it on the Tea Party.

Eh, the Dems have already agreed to giving in on their golden calf of entitlement reform, but like normal people they said they are not giving that up without getting something in return. The Tea Party response was almost literally "Fuck you, if it's not 100% Tea Party approved, you can eat a bag of dicks."

And did you hear about the Sequester? 1.2 trillion in cuts, half on the military and half on social programs. The military is looking at a 4% cut over 10 years and Republicans act like it will actually end civilization as we know it. Have you even heard a Democrat complain about the 600 billion in social program cuts coming down the line?

The Tea Party has literally voted people out of office because they dared to even talk about compromise. Talking with them about how to appropriately fix the country is like arguing with a 4 year old.

Im not a big fan of social programs, so I commend anyone who doesnt complain about it being cut.

And Im not a supporter of the tea party, but I think its a bit much to put complete blame on them. But from what I have seen, and its true as you say, trouble follows them around. I had to respond to the libertarian party one time, when they were trying to support the tea party movements. I told them that the tea party would only drag them down and make them look worse and worse.
