Seriously, it's annoying as hell. I'm tired of getting messages from people saying "minecraft > terraria" or vice versa. The two games are similar, yes, but not as much as people make it out to be. Really, Terraria reminds me more of a Metroidvania game. While Minecraft is a much more zen experience that is all about creation and atmosphere, Terraria is more concerned with combat and exploration. Yes, both games have similar elements like mining and crafting, but that doesn't make them the same game. It's like comparing Final Fantasy and Dragon Age.

But srsly, which one to buy?
VoltySquirrel wrote:well, I guess it depends on the type of game you're looking for. Minecraft is all about creation, Terraria is more like an exploration game where you occasionally defend a central hub.

exactly. all those updates and new enemies are really annoying
now its almost impossible to build or do something without being attcked the entire time.
the game was the best when it first came out

Are there any other games like it then? I like the whole idea of finding resources, crafting, bit of pewpew, but the execution doesn't seem to live up to my standards.

I have absolutely no idea what either of those games are
