[BLUE] Admin Application (pre-trial 2/27/11)

Hello everyone. My name is TiakerAvelonna, but on Steam I'm known as PhoenixFireRising. I changed it because no one knew how to pronounce Tiaker, and people were saying that they were getting killed whilst trying to talk to me.

I joined the forums on November 25, but I believe that I had been playing on the servers for a week or so before that. Some friends of mine suggested CsN to me.

I live in the Eastern time zone. Unfortunately, I also work in retail, so my schedule varies greatly. On my days off I usually play between 2 PM and midnight (not the whole time, mind you). On my work days I usually play after 9:30 PM until midnight or 1 AM.

Sadly, I do not have any other admin experience. However, I was a substitute teacher for four years, so I do know how to handle a crowd and work under stressful situations.

I am 27 years old, and will be 28 in another month and a half. I am getting married in April.

As I have said, I was a substitute teacher. I know how to deal with difficult situations, get things under control quickly, and I am used to putting up with large amounts of nonsense and immaturity. My time in retail has taught me patience and good customer/employee relations. I have a good sense of humor, I am a good sport, and actually choose to write in proper English.

I am perfectly fine with jumping to an empty or sparse server. I'm not entirely sure how that works, but if it will help populate the servers and get more people interesting in CritSandvich, I will do what is necessary.

I believe I am on Slaybox I more than I am on Slaybox II, so I would like to apply for SB I. However, if there is more of a need for admins on server II, I will gladly move wherever is necessary.

She's a regular on the Slayboxes. I've never heard her talk, though I understand not wanting to let a server full of undersexed adolescent males spam you with friend requests. I'm not a blue admin, but I'd give her a trial.

just out of curiosity which are your preferred classes?

I'm not a pro by any means, but I usually prefer heavy or pyro. I play soldier and demo when I get bored with those two. I sometimes play engi on certain maps (Dustbowl and Gold Rush, usually). Scout and sniper are rarities, and I haven't touched spy and medic since getting the Head of the Class achievement.

I know you asked failhorse but. . .

Admins in trial don't get any admin power, you're just supposed to call your sponsor (you don't have one since you apped before that started) and have that individual deal with that other individual, individually.

Once we see you're useful and not the type to ban everyone from the server every time you die then you'll be given admin.

Pretty sure thats about it.
