Quite Possibly the Best Crafting Evening I'll Ever Have.

So, I was just hanging about the trade server after spending some time in the fun server when I decided that I would use some refined metal to craft a hat. I had previously crafted a dragonborn helmet in the fun server; I was feeling dangerous you see. So I crafted it and what do I get...A procedure mask. I'm pleased. So I decided to do it again. What did I get?

The All-Father #12.

The whole server basically went nuts. So, feeling lucky, I repeat the crafting with metal until I get the following...A noble Amassment of Hats, a Master's yellow belt, a buckaroo's hat, and a heavy duty rag. Naturally, I'm rather disappointed. So, being out of metal, I craft the buckaroo's hat and the heavy duty rag together. What did I get...a demo fro. At this point, I'm very sad and the server is mocking me for wasting my hats this way. So, despondent, I decide to try again, crafting the master's yellow belt with the demo fro. What did I get?

The ALL-FREAKING-FATHER #13.

At this point, the people in the trade server who had been needling me have gone strangely quiet.

So, yeah...at least 6 buds worth of materials out of 6 refined. Not bad for a night's craft.

(an interesting side note... One of my friends and I went to an unusual server, both wearing a numbered all father- that I let him borrow. The admin there got so mad that he kicked us both.

Of course. Just go to the steam trading forums. I couldn't give two shits about craft numbers, but I know that serious traders do and will pay a lot for them. Thus, I care only in the context that I know how much some people will pay for a really low number, especially on such a high demand hat as the all-father. Ask A duck. I'm sure he knows all about that sort of thing.

Oh I know people pay for the craft numbers, personally I don't give a fuck in the least lol. It why I hunt for uncraftable shit most often for myself.

But yeah, I'll admit that I'm not nearly the best judge of trade prices in TF2. I was just throwing out a quick appraisal I'd gotten from a trade admin. So yeah, I don't know. I won't know what they're worth until I get the price I'll trade 'em for.

But whatever...I'll worry about that later. Now I just gotta figure out which one to keep...The 12th Day of Christmas or my Lucky Number 13?
