Yea that map has no visible skybox and the source engine is designed to make that effect when you see outside void.

if you skip to 1:30ish on this youtube video you'll see the author blatantly recreate the example.



The skybox does kinda fits in with the map, at the same time it makes it hard to see caber demos which are annoyingly common in the fbs.

I've never had this issue. Do you two use DirectX 8? (judging from the video)

I have dx81 enabled.
Well idk how it's supposed to look like then.
but i find it a bit amusing because you can spell things out as well.

Well, using DX8 may be why you're having that issue. I don't know if that's truly the case, unless CR33D does, too.

That's not just dx8. There's a hole in the skybox or a func_detail clipping out of it.

This happens in any source game where there is no set texture, so all you end up with is the repeating effect you see in the video on whatever was on that part of the screen last. Usually due to bad map design or oversight.
