Make a vote for "Melee Only"

Sometimes on the slaybox everyone wants to go melee only, could we have a vote system put in available to donors that votes yes or no on a single melee only match?

I was saying that the vote can only be initiated by donators, similar to votemute and the like, then if the vote passes then it would be melee only for one round.

Slaybox is supposed to be vanilla. I don't like the idea of someone coming into a slaybox and seeing melee only, they'd leave, and if they're unfamiliar with the server, might blacklist for improper naming.

I don't think melee would fit.

the thing is the few times we have done melee only, some people "bully" others into doing it or leaving, so I don't see why it would make a difference
we could also try and put in a melee only off vote available to all in order to counteract what you are scared about, with people blacklisting.
there would are already problems with new people blacklisting, because of the dropped due to slot reservation problem since the regulars fill up the server easily
sometimes it takes me more than 15 minutes to join.

I love the fact that players coordinate with each other and initiate a melee battle, although I would not condone there be a vote for it. When it happens, it happens and it's beautiful but people join the slaybox for the same reason I do; to slay in a box.

I have seen this get out of hand where some of the people wanting to melee start calling the people that chose not to melee names and raging way to hard. I love the melee as much as anyone else. But if people choose not to do it they should not be yelled at or called names.

We had a problem once, some time ago, that allowed donators to vote the gravity on the server.
It ended up much the same way as will melee only.

With vote spamming.

Then make it so that at least 5 donators have to initiate the vote, similar to RTV, and the vote can only come up once every hour or so.

If people in the server genuinely want to do melee only, it can happen. But making a server-side non-unanimous diplomatic mechanic to take away vanilla play in a vanilla server is a bad idea.

Every once in a while you get a round of Hightower and a round of Upward with mostly fish/pan scouts.
This is only if you get lucky.
