Hey donators, a small change

I've changed the Paypal configuration to use custom amounts. You can now enter as much as you want when on the Paypal donation page. Our system will automatically calculate how many months a certain amount will give you. This is for anyone who wants to donate more than $5 at a time.

A couple notes about this: If you donate less than $5 you won't get any privileges. If you donate $9.99, you'll only get 1 month. You have to donate $10 or above to get 2 months (15 for 3, etc). So keep that in mind when putting in your amounts.

And thanks to everyone who has donated or is planning to donate. Your donations go a long way in keeping us around. We are ever grateful.

Will there ever be a subscription based way to do it? Having to remember to send in a new donation would be a hassle for me.

It's possible to set Paypal up for subscriptions, but the coding is slightly more difficult (more cases to handle such as canceling a subscription). I also am a bit worried about people not realizing it's a subscription service and getting charged unnecessarily.

I think if I ever set up a subscription service it would be a secondary option, with the donation method being the primary way of doing it. But it's definitely something I am willing to look at eventually.

Then I can dump the database to an XML file with a CGI script and parse it with Python to a php array. Then I can use that for referencing the amount.
