That sv_pure thing

Yeah, I'm fine with sv_pure 1, but could I make a simple request?
I use some blood mods. For the most part, they work, but the mods dont show up for the blood spatter on the walls and whatnot. Could this be changed?

If someone shows me a way to make the whitelist so that it can show these mods without possibly opening up a method of cheating, I'm all for it.

All depends on what folder it puts those files in. If it uses a custom folder then it would be great and can be whitelisted without risk of cheats.

I'll hunt for the specific folder later, but I know I installed it to my steamapps/username/team fortress 2/tf folder or something like that.

Look out ackbar cheats. She's got a mod that removes the scope-in on sniper... Don't do anything she says

Also, does it allow sound modding? I dunno if it does, I suppose it would create problems with spy cloaks and whatnot.

Well the whitelists can let you allow pretty much any custom file you tell it to. But you don't want to open up all of them. Whitelisting the tf directory is pretty much doing sv_pure 0 which I'm sure you guys are trying to avoid. If you link me to the mod you use then I can find out what custom folders it uses for you guys and let you know what to add to the whitelists if you'd like.

A'right, lemme see....

Well, first off, for sound, I just need the voice files, which are in /vo, correct? That wouldn've affect stuff like the spy's decloak, soo....

Then, here's the mod I use:

Yea that mod would require whitelisting many folders that could open up a pathway for hackers. I would advise against adding it to the whitelist but of course it is up to you guys.

Yeah, sorry about that but it's not really feasible.

I understand why people do sv_pure but it particularly annoys me. Seeing the same broken n00b t00b model everytime I play demo gets real annoying after awhile.

Does it really bother you that much that the pipe launcher has a 6 barrel drum?

Yes, then their's also the fact that he fills the same slot over and over. Not too annoying on viewmodel_fov 54, but I have it at between 60 and 70, which doesn't hide the issue. There are fixes for it, and even entirely new skins, that don't work unless whitelisted. At one point, I litterally had a high quality comepletely new skin for almost all weapons. I didn't like giving them up. But I had to. You guys here at CSn are worth more to me than a few wireframes and textures.
