team stacking on westbox lately

by -=orb=- » Wed Aug 08, 2012 4:44 pm

I play on westbox because I like how the teams are almost always fair and players do not manually switch to stack them. Lately a group (YYIP) or something like that has been stacking all to one side each map. They're not really good, but it still annoys me as I've seen this get out of hand and ruin other servers for me before.

If they aren't any good, then don't bitch and kill them.

I saw two of them on today but as soon as I joined one left. I'll keep my eyes on them, we do have a rule not to switch teams so they shouldn't be doing it regardless of how good or bad they are.

I've noticed an increase in this too, though not any specific group or clan. People go spectator then join whatever. Just my 2 cents.

That's directly against the rules and if you see it either tell them to switch back or call an Admin in if they refuse to.

Also, if they are legitimately on the same team even with the random placement than there's not much to do. Just try and get a vote-scramble from an Admin (I don't know if donators can do that, I never tried to until I was given my trial).
I play Scout and Medic a lot.

I think the command is !votescramble

Anyway theres not a lot you can do if they get auto assigned to the same team. If its a problem then you'll have to scramble but that doesn't mean half will be put on one team and half the other. In the past clans like this have also worked around the auto assign by having one guy join, then the others wait at the motd and they hit the continue button as the team is unbalanced so it says they were auto assigned to their friends team. Its kinda ridiculous to me why people go to such lengths to pub stomp a server. I've always thought they should just go lobby or something. This said we do have the tryhard server now so they can go there and pub stomp all they want and leave us the hell alone.
