New Server(s)?

Is it possible to have a new server?
And this is in conjuction with the request Ive seen for a Euro server, which would be very nice as well.
I dont know what it is lately, but the numbers for the four servers have been very good, usually full most of the time. I suggest that because of this, we should at least put two new servers up, one for Europe, and just another plain one or whatever.

I also suggest that a new US server would have all those cool looking new custom maps, like the mirror and minecraft maps, or stuff from TF2maps.net. Ive played on thier server alot and I think it would be fun to have different maps for once.

Id even be willing to pay for new servers, because I would love to see some new expansion considering that we have some excellant activity going on!

Servers are always better started with a hugh surplus community, having space for 48 people to play and having it full all the time doesn't mean that a new 12-24 slot server will be as-well, so it takes time, especially when you get into narrow area's of tf2 like arena and custom maps to which house a generally separate community.

Yes, I guess I should clarify a bit: We understand that the servers are doing well. At this point, however, there isn't a desperate need for a third server that plays to the same audience that we have. Sure, we may be able to fill a third server with some effort and events, but right now it will only split our community a bit more since people will favorite a single server and go to that exclusively. That's why we don't have an official "Slaybox III" anymore. The "Something Box" is still being figured out.

I think we might be able to attract a different crowd with arena servers. I know of some people (like smokedout from my scrim team in eniGma) who would only play arena ever outside of scrims. It might be hard at first to attract these types of people since our majority generally plays our Slaybox rotation, but I think with a little effort it could be a nice niche server.

As for Europe, it's a completely different crowd so I think it would be very successful. And there are tons of people who play despite their ping who would love an upgrade.

As for a West Coast server, unfortunately while we have a Chicago server that doesn't make much sense. It would only really help Hawaiians, and though we love Hawaiians it doesn't seem like a large enough crowd to worry about. Some day, we might switch to a west coast/east coast system (maybe slaybox I and II can be east and west at some point, if we can keep the IPs).

I'm for an arena server. If we did it though, would have to be interesting. Maybe no-wait mod, or use the the HHH mod and have him appear after 2 minutes of not capping the point. That way 2 CnD spies don't hold up the damn thing.

I'm game for anything, but as I've always said, I prefer custom maps. Oh, btw, Mike wouldn't be the only on the benefit from a West Coast server. I hear somebody is leaving for Japan at the end of the month. Hint hint.

I for one really like the chicago servers, being in milwaukee, that ping less than 20 is quite nice

I dont think there is a ping cap from what Ive see. Gotta tell you, a 400 plus ping pyro is a nightmare.
