Chatbox on all pages?

Hey request here, can we get a chatbox on all pages? , it disappears halfway through the forum.

We keep it only on the main page as to keep it from bogging down the server too much.

I also don't think our current chatbox solution handles multiple-pages very well.

Yeah, it slows down the page loads a whole lot, and doesn't play nice with page switching or scrolling while loading. Just open a window or tab with the homepage and then branch out to the forums from there. That's how I do it.

how about a audio sound that we can switch on our off whenever a new message appears?

The chatbox came with a sound, but it was very jarring, and I think it was built into the flash file that does the sound, making it hard to change.

I think the conclusion to this is to get a new chatbox.

or we could train a flock of monkeys to tap members on the shoulder when a new message appears.
