I have a few problems.

I'm going to be hated by half of the community for stating my mind, but I will say them now.

Number one:
Today I noticed Psyk was playing, I normally do not play when he does, but I wanted to play with Meatboy. Reason? He doesn't play fair. This is an example.
We were playing on Kakariko (well known 'spawn camp' map). I can understand if someone stickied spawn or kept firing into it with rockets with no one there... But here's the thing... Psyk NEVER once left spawn. He was a sniper. So he sniped from the safety of spawn. Now here's the kicker. When trying to kill him, he said stop spawn camping. So he's 'safe' from being killed.
Another thing I have a MAJOR problem with... Some games I don't care if the admins powerplay to screw around but there's a couple of modes they shouldn't. TFDB is an example, but today we're using Saxton Hale. Psyk will actually turn Powerplay on during saxton hale as a Medic so he doesn't get killed, but apparently people admit he does 'nothing', so basically he's just adding 450 HP on saxton and healing people. Fair or not fair? You tell me. (Benny though it was unfair in IMs and I highly agree).

Number two:
The warn 10 times system... People who are repeat offenders come back when no admins are on and continue to cause havock and sometimes log out when an admin does come on. People will continue to micspam even after being muted. People will continue to be douches even after being gagged. THEY DO NOT TAKE TO YOUR KIND PUNISHMENTS! So I will say this, you need a proper system. 3 Strikes and you're out is a classic one... I understand if it's a new person you can be lenient, but I see people who actually micspam some really disgusting stuff get muted once, then afterwards continue onwards. Even persistant mutes do nothing for them (Since it's not perminant) so they continue on.
These people do not care for the wellfare of your server, just insulting for lulz and grossing people out.

I am losing my patience to the point where I honestly cursed wrongfully and left because of such. (I gave myself a self controlled 'ban' one might say for breaking the rules).

And it's getting to the point where the fun server seems more like a server for admins to throw their powerplay, slapping exploits, and powerful voices around (Eg. "Don't do that" even though it's not against the rules).

I am normally quiet, but Benny told me if I have an issue bring it to the table in the forums.

Another problem is Fortwars was readded and we all know that about 60+% of the community estimated (at least the ones who are verbal) Do NOT like fortwars because A) it's a spawncamp fest, B) it's a snipefest, C) It's laggy, D) It can/does crash the server sometimes, and E) It can be highly unbalanced. (... What map isn't? It's just one of the reasons I hear alot).

And I know Psyk owns a server and that is practically the only reason he is a red, but at the same time, he needs to be taught how to be an admin if he's willing to donate a server... It seems more like his play room when he's in there than the community's server from my point of view because he does everything he can to try not to die normally (Excluding DB and ZF)

There should be a spray removal command if I recall, not sure if it's installed on Pink or otherwise allowed for Trials though. The warn gag/mute kick ban thing is -standard- for almost every normal server, but fun servers need a slight leniency because people go there for fun and tend to be ignorant to rules. So I believe in warning a few times, maybe 3 tops.

Second, I toggle power play and do nothing, there is no disadvantage to that at all, actually it helps the saxton out some by giving him more health and if you don't like that, maybe you should get better.

Yeah, you can remove sprays by opening the admin panel, sm_admin. (I have it binded to one of my keys) I did that a few times. You also can warn/slay/kick/ban after removal.

I agree that it's a fun server so rules can be a bit more lax, but that doesn't mean the admins can fool around with powerplay and stuff. As is mentioned all around, admin is a privilege and I personally don't think you should use it to do silly things like powerplay unless it's on the trade server or something, even if it doesn't cause major problems like on the Saxton mod.

Otherwise we get 12 year olds wanting to apply so that they can use powerplay on the servers. I'm 90% sure that's why our admin section now consists highly of 12 year olds. Just a hunch though. I suppose this could turn into a big long debate, and I'll admit right now I don't play on Fun very much so I can't judge the environment.


I'd like to make clear though that Psyk has every reason to be a Red admin. He's helped configure the site and the servers, and done a lot of work that may not be obvious to newcomers. So don't put him down like that. And psyk isn't doing anything that is majorly disrupting to the server. He's not slaying people randomly or anything.

I only heal ninja when in powerplay and as soon as saxton kills her, I run off the edge or explode. She doesn't shoot saxton either a whole lot.
Ninja only has a password for HER account to update and restart the fun server. not MY password for all the servers I host.

If we followed another admins path you'd probably have been banned for posting opinions/problems . What's the point though to tell someone something rude? Why are you intentionally trying to take a poke at someone when this is just a video game? Telling him to get laid has nothing to do with the issue, and is just rude. Personal assaults are not what we're about (at least not what we used to be). With all the disagreements I've had with other admins, we've always left it to the internet and not insulted someone personally. I find it to be low.

In response to any admins place in the community. It's not really an issue for the average community member. What someone does or contributes isn't an issue.

Otherwise. The whole powerplay thing is meaningless. Was he using it to his advantage or just sitting there? When I play with him and he does that, generally he stays in one spot ignoring everything.

Finally. This seems a matter between the admin base, Psyk, and Spoon. If you are not involved please try to refrain from creating extra drama by commenting on situations that don't involve yourself.
