I de-equipped everything from all of my sniper loadouts but my in-game appearance still wore the pyrovision goggles and my game still used the pyrovision hud. So, uh, no.

I did this as well, removed all of the items that came with the pyro update, but still my solider, demo and pyro are stuck in pyro vision. My scout and medic are normal. At some point I'll check the other classes.
And thanks Valve, you only had a couple years to work on the pyro update, but like a drunken college student you finished everything the night before (hell, you even turned it in late from you own deadline) so you didn't have enough time to play test anything to make sure all the shit actually worked.
I mean seriously, I've played that stupid rocket map twice and found about 50 things that needed to be changed. That map could be really fun if they took the time (one freaking round) to find and fix several of the obvious deficiencies.
