So civ 6 got announced today and is supposed to come out October 21 this year, which is pretty dank, theres already a steam page where you can pre-order the game if youre into that sorta thing. Im going to hold off because Im not really digging the new art style but if does things like improve the AI and multiplayer Ill get it after the reviews come out

Personally, I don't mind the art style, but I'm glad the stuff from Civ 5 and it's expansions are staying apart of the game. Here's to it being good.

I've never played a Civ game but I've always been intrigued. Now that I have a computer that can run it I'm thinking of getting this, but how far behind am I going to be in terms of a learning curve? I love strategy games and am obsessed with Catan (I know these aren't really comparable) and think this could be a lot of fun, although I imagine it's better with friends.

Civs pretty fun and relatively easy in comparison to games like EU4. Its for sale atm but if you get it you should get the dlc bundle because the games really bad and empty without it. As for the friend part, the multiplayer fairly glitchy but its still fairly fun. I usually play single player because almost none of my friends play civ.

Please don't do this to me Firaxis. I have too much on my backlog anyway.

get 5 on sale and play with friends to learn the game

doesn't seem to me like much will be different than 5 and its dlcs outside of shiny fancy cartoony graphics

When I watched the trailer for the first time I wondered why they didn't get Nimoy to do it again and then got very sad.

The happiness level will be focused on a city level, rather than on a global basis across your civilization.

Pretty rad

Heres the E3 demo for Civ 6, everything looks pretty lit (but Sean Beans narration is kinda cringey)

Preordered this badboy. Anyone looking to play some "I don't know what I'm doing" games of MP?

Civ V was decent on release, CIV IV was just a hard act to follow.
