Battlefield: Bad Company 2

I bought it a couple days ago when it was $7. Does anyone on CSn play? I've done some of the multiplayer with Barnaby Jones, but it would be cool to know other people that I can squad up with. I'm pretty bad atm, but I'm enjoying it.

I have BF:BC2 along with the Vietnam DLC. This game is purely amazing, especially if you have enough friends to start your own squad. I personally prefer this game over Black Ops any day.

I like the game when I'm doing relatively well but when my team is getting completely rolled and all but two people have <1 KDRs and all three points have been captured
it is very discouraging
i have been too busy playing KotOR II to come back on though

videos about BC2 are cool and i think they are helping me identify which stuff i'm doing is worth focusing on. i am getting more into the Assault class.

I thought I had a somewhat casual-yet-super-cereal group to play with on PC 2 nights a week, but I took a month break from them and now they are straight up cereal. Not that it affects me all that much, since I still just pimp around and shoot shit as an engineer while pretending that I understand what they want me to do.

tragically one of my proudest moments lately was on Heavy Metal
i was in a squad with two Recon dudes, and they were chilling out on a ridge facing Bravo
so I just kept feeding them ammo and spotting dudes

BC2 seems even better than TF2 for earning points for stuff other than killing people

I don't play anything other than hardcore, so I can't really spot. What I can do however is grab a shotgun, load it with slugs and make recon angry by stealing their kills while standing right beside them.

That's only for pub games though. When it comes to clan matches you won't catch me without an AK-74u that has a 4x scope tossed on for good measure.

for a while it was sort of entertaining being on a team that was absolutely brutally being beaten
there was some funny stuff with just how incompetently we handled choppers and tanks
then i just got mad that they didn't have a team scrambler on the server, it was just frustrating

I don't tracer dart infantry, but I have that as my sidearm on every class and reflexively dart every vehicle I see. It seems I've been underestimating how much you need to lead a helicopter, though.
Medic is an insane fountain of kills and points. It's very, very ridiculous. I have all the Medic guns, now, and bronze stars on all except the MG3 (which I actually kind of dislike, since its super high RoF just means it chews through ammo quicker; I'll probably go back to the MG36).

black ops has a much better competitive scene the bc2 but i liked play bc2 just for fun not the greatest game though, rather play cs anyday over bc2

I think I was the only person who had more fun on Bad Company 1. Too bad it is impossible to find a game these days.

Always loved BC2 for the destruction, even though it's 50% dust and 50% imagination. Have to say I prefer BF2 more though, really cant wait for BF3. Always had a thing for massive battlefields with islands and aircraft carriers.

Every server is pretty fun, you'll probably want to just find one with the lowest ping to start. My personal favorite's are the 24/7 wake island servers, you hardly find any elitists willing to TK you for choppers/planes. Wake island is also my favorite BF1942 map, it's too bad you can't control ships in BF2 though.

A bunch of Battlefield games are on sale at the EA online store! I picked up Battlefield 2. So far, it has not overwhelmed me. I think it's because I haven't found a really good server. Or a slightly good server.

Need either a good squad or a clan. Going solo in pub servers is actually pretty boring. Also, stay away from wake island. Whatever team has the better pilots will win, so one team is almost always going to get rolled.
