Legend of Legaia- If you have never played this rare classic you are missing out. It was great. My all time favorite RPG.

Lunar Silver Star Story- Because this game was awesome gay. Here is an awesome gay song. My sister and I used to run around and sing this while cleaning and cooking. It used to piss off our dad.

Final Fantasy 10- Yes, I love the FF series. But, I'm not a crazy about them. The one FF that had a brilliant OST was 10. Almost all of the songs are brilliant. This game has one of the best openings ever.

Mass Effect- No needs to tell you that ME is a great game over all.

Silent Hill- I've loved the series since I was little. The soundtracks are great!

So, yeah, here are those songs I promised way back when:

I understand that Halo isn't the most popular game series among PC gamers, but no one can say with a straight face that Marty O'Donnell in't a brilliant composer. Case in point, the music from the E3 2006 reveal of Halo 3. That song still sends shivers down my spine with that simple E chord in the beginning.

Finish The Fight - Martin O'Donnell

I also am a big fan of this song from ODST, although I wasn't as big a fan of the game itself.

Overture - Martin O'Donnell

Red Dead Redemption is probably my favorite game in terms of story telling, and the songs Rockstar used paired perfectly with the mood at the time when you heard them.

Compass (Red Dead On Arrival Version) - Jaime Lidell

Bury Me Not In the Lone Prairie - William Elliot Whitmore

Banjo-Kazooie is the defining game of my childhood, and these two songs from that game will forever be engraved in my mind, popping up, whether I want them to or not.

Mumbo's Mountain - Grant Kirkhope

Clanker's Cavern - Grant Kirkhope

Metroid has some of the best music of the 8 and 16 bit eras, and Super Metroid has easily the best. My personal favorites are the intro track and the theme.

Well I for one, Like Halo and it's soundtracks.

ODST wasn't all that good of a game, But I do like the Menu theme.

I seriously listen to the 2nd Metroid track you listed EVERY NIGHT!!!

Probably because: 1, It's a good song, and 2, I'm planning a 3D animation that will have part of the song in it

(Though it still has a LONG way to go)
(And I will most likely need a more powerful computer to render it)

Odd you mention that: that's the song that was pitched up for the infamous "Shii's Song" video.

Psycho Soldier (released in Japanese arcades in 1986 and internationally the following year) was the first game to feature a vocal track in-game.
Its opening and ending themes were performed by then-upcoming idol Kaori Shimizu (清水香織). The song was re-recorded in English by an unknown singer for the international release.

Final Fantasy VI soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu. All time hands down favorite. Rachel's Theme, Aria de Mezzo Carattere, the 21 minute ending theme... So much goodness! Also pretty much anything else by him.

Xenoblade Chronicals has an amazing soundtrack also. The Title Theme and Guar Plains being my top two from that.
