Fire Emblem: Awakening

by Knees of Justice » Mon Feb 11, 2013 12:13 am

I've never played a Fire Emblem game, so I thought I'd try this one... and it's actually really amazing.

The gameplay is fun, addictive, and gives a unique twist to traditional turn-based combat. There's a lot of strategy: permadeath, pairing up characters to form relationships, commanding movements and several other factors make you carefully think about the consequences of each turn.

Anyone else have this game? I'm on chapter 21 right now.

I'm a bit of a Fire Emblem fanboi, albeit the limited access Americans have to the franchise.

I dunno if it's worth having to buy a 3DS in order to play it though.

I ordered a 3DS in expectation of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate's US release in 36 days and I've been thinking about picking up Fire Emblem, too, at some point.

Buy FE:A, you won't regret it. Try out the demo if you're not already convinced.
