Anyone here play Quake?

I don't play multiplayer on it, but I enjoy the campaign and some of the mods I came upon. I play using DarkPlaces. (sad that GTX 400 series can be terrible with OpenGL)

I've been thinking about trying Quake Live, as I've heard a bunch of people who sound like they know what they're talking about state if you want to get good at nailing meatrockets or playing Scout in general, then play this game.
