So I'm planning a TF2 event...

And I'd like to invite CSn to join in the fun!

The event is called the Great SPUF Scout Rush. Here is the official thread on the SPUF Scout board.

This came to be when some of us on the Scout board decided to set up our own all-Scout group, sort of like E2, but not so exclusive (because, you know, we can't really grade people on how well they do trick-meatshots...), one simply for people who love to play Scout, and for new players who are interested in the class to find experienced players willing to show them the ropes. As we were discussing this, I had an idea for an all out Scout battle, 12v12 of Scoutin' goodness. When I mentioned it, everybody liked the idea so much that I was made an officer for the group, and encouraged me to set it up.

The event will be hosted on a server owned, admined and maintained by long-time SPUF regulars, who were very excited to host us (I was going to ask you guys if we could do it here at first, actually, but enough people recommended the other server that I went to them first). It's based out of Chicago like the Slayboxes, and from experience I can tell you that it is just as stable, so if you get a good connection on those then you should be fine on this server, too.

I truly hope I'm not overstepping any boundaries by posting about a different group's event being held on different servers, but I thought at least some CSn regulars might be interested. Hell, I know there are way better Scouts than me on these servers, and I'd honestly feel a little guilty if I didn't at least invite all of you. So if this is some-how innapropriate, I appologize, but if it isn't and you guys would like to join in, I'd love to see some other CSn tags rushing with me!
I play Scout and Medic a lot.

Cool idea. 8-) 8-) 8-) Sounds like a fun time. I'd be down to play if the time is right (anytime after 6pm CST Monday-Friday, after 12pm on Saturday, and any time Sunday).

The plan is basically to find a date, set up a start time, and go until people stop showing up. That way the most people possible can get in, including people in different time zones.

Sounds like a great idea! I'd be willing to join in once you find a good time for it.
