so this is the thread for the 6v6 and highlander squads i'm trying to put together, which involve several csn regulars.

i'm mostly making this thread now to provide a link in the steam group i'm making. i also just made a needtomeet page so we can indicate availability.

i intend to sign us up for cevo 6v6 and ugc highlander (assuming cevo highlander won't get off the ground; ugc has a thriving highlander tourney).

so far i have, for 6v6:

teets (v good scout, best player on the team most likely)
tnt (scout)
anarchy (demo)
mitch (scout/soldier/sniper/pyro, he'd like to scout so he can off class, and i agree with that... and teets is an excellent soldier, so we might be able to swap them so mitch can be our off classer on last points/etc--but ideally from my perspective i think he'd make a great roaming soldier)
hotpocket (soldier)
me (medic/soldier)
stanley (soldier)
reb (scout/soldier)

so i really need one more demo and one more soldier, because i think hotpocket won't be as available as i'd like and reb is only a sub, so it has to be someone good... and i know mitch can demo if anarchy isn't around and do a good job (as long as he can roll out, that's hugely important), but i want him to be able to do what he wants and not what i need... i'm going to talk to teets about getting his friend on board to demo and we'll be good to go.

in addition to those guys, i have for highlander

elemezuke (good lobby/clanner spy)
slinger (good heavy)
sandman (sniper extraordinaire)

i think we'll actually make a very good highilander team. lots of you guys can multiclass at a really high level, and i expect we can kick some ass.

i'll be medicing actually, and seeing as for the time being i'm the ~head bitch in charge, i'll likely be there for all of our games.

but more importantly i intend to be calling the games and we need to be accustomed to having the same person calling strat.

so while i appreciate the offer, at least for the time being, i should be there as medic every time.

medic is the only class i'm good enough at to hang w the rest of these guys. which is a great thing, when it comes down to it.

so i will be looking to get a scrim tomorrow and/or sunday; i get home from work sometime around 11:30 on a saturday and 9:30 on sunday (est). those times will get earlier as the summer ends and people don't sit out on the deck for fucking forever, but right now i'm a pretty late starter.

would everyone please download ventrilo and mumble--i think we'll use the uvm esea mumble for now, since i don't have to press to talk on there. but we might end up switching to the hard ass vent if they're willing.

open to map suggestions, but let's be thinking badlands or granary and have rollouts down for that.

also please download viaduct_pro_rc3 and maybe we can play that as a second round, since it's god damn fun and favors skill level (which we have) over unity and teamwork, just a bit (which we don't).

Deli can scrim in the evening. You have to play pl_upward as a highlander though.

so sunday ca. 10est (or when i get home from work; last seating is at 8 and i'm closing), i'm going to look for a highlander game. if not that, then 6v6 (battery is helping w this, hopefully).

i'm asking harri right now if the deli would be down. so please be available if you can. i'll pull subs wherever i have to though, i intend to get this going.


we played a lobby tonight with tnt and mitch scouting, sandman and stanley solly, and lumines demo, and got raped the first 2 rounds, then inexorably won the 2nd two. if time hadn't expired i'm pretty sure we would've swept the rest of the rounds... once we got it together and started working as a team, we did really well. i was happy with everyone. in fact, we probably would've won the 2nd round if i had figured out by then that my ventrilo speak bind also, for some reaosn i haven't yet figured, triggered the mouse2 effect (as well as prevented me from shooting or reloading while holding it)--so i popped 3 ubers accidentally before i started using teamspeak. and that definitely hurt us.

If you ever need a medic if someone can't make a practice/someone to practice with on the slayboxes, I'll always be ready to help you guys. I have played a few dozen tf2 lobbies and get the basic stuff. My skill seems to be unreliable though, as I've had rounds in the slayboxes where I've dropped multiple times in the same match.

IMO the quality of matches is significantly higher in the euro game, plus casters with euro accents > american accents.
