Just in case people haven't figured out how to get this: melee the Horseman, then stay alive until he dies. Can only get this once.

On that note, you can make two different things with it, the re-skin of the eyelander making it the Horseman's axe or you can get a random Halloween hat.

Head cutter axe: 2 refined + skullcutter + unusual haunted metal
Halloween hat: 4 refined + haunted metal.

Too bad you have to decide which one to craft since you only get one haunted metal.

All hats crafted with the haunted metal are usable all year round.

Also, I could be wrong, but the tf2-wiki implied that the axe/blood hat was added as a generic new hat, which could be found randomly or crafted with the basic 3 refined metal recipe.

Create a server. Open console. Enter "sv_cheats 1; tf_halloween_force_boss_spawn; sv_cheats 0" (without quotes)

I tried using the Buddha command as well as hurtme -99999999 as suggested elsewhere on the interwubs so I wouldn't die, but I couldn't get the achievement until I died over and over hitting him. Use demoknight to shorten the time it takes.

I didn't want to cheat, but with all the nataschas and sentries and spamming the people trying to kill the horseman, I got fed up trying to be legit.
