HLS Stats and tracking Healing done.

by Guy » Wed May 04, 2011 7:18 pm

I was looking at the stats thingy and noticed it doesn't track average healing done per life... is it possible?
Because my kills per death... are well... non-existent.

I play Medic exclusively, unless I am pushed to play a different class, then I play Engie.

Just wondering if it could be done?
What do you mean syringes don't go there? I am the doctor here... they go where I say they go.

So says the second on the said hlstats. o.o

But you (Sandman) got a point. You (Guy) shouldn't care about points. Hell, since I've been training as Pyro (and I'm still training), I've been losing hundreds of points each round I play. That's the price to pay to play as a class I don't yet master. But there are just points.

You shouldn't feel bad about those. :3

Not really worried about as much as being a more effective medic.
I don't usually take points away from players and they take so much from me. Medics only get I think... 3 points or so.

If my healing per life is low, meaning I am not staying alive as long as I should... you know. XD

If I was so worried about points I would try playing a much less high value target, that can effectively* fight back.

*Medic's guns and blades can do a lot of damage if used right, and I can use em' pretty good. But unless that solder is near death, you are pretty screwed.

i just play normally, unless its a contest, the hlstats don't do anything.. so why care? kills the fun out of the game worrying about not dying and getting a good kdr...

Normally your kill assists as Medic Class net you 2-3 points depending on the server. Which is equal to killing someone with melee on those servers. Depends on what stats they have turned on. Basically it means "Healing is good. PLAY MEDIC AND GET ASSISTS!". If it's not set on these servers... Maybe it should be, I dunno. But if you just got points for heal amounts... People would AFKMedic.. BAD!

Oh, I am not asking for giving points for healing.
Also, you got to remember that having a ton of assist as a medic doesn't mean your are doing a good job keeping your team alive, or holding a line, assisting a dying or critting medic. It might just could mean you are just latching on to some uber pro and leeching off his kills.

Just maybe keep track of average healing.

Say during a round I die 4 times:
Life 1: 9750
Life 2: 10200
Life 3: 10 (Say a spawn sticky trap)
Life 4: 2575

It would show on my stats something like this:
Average Healing Done Per Life as Medic: 5633.75

Not asking for points, or anything of the sort. Just maybe keeping track of people's average healing when they play a medic (and maybe engie).

Read your healing done, divide by number of minutes played, you got your average heal per minute. Divide that number by 60 to get heal per second. >.>;

EDIT: Super sleepy, math might be off :D

Where can I find healing done when I die?

Only time I see that is if I beat the 12000+ healing I done on a hydro map... which isn't likey on this server. XD

Unless you've modified your scoreboard it shows you healing done when you check it. It's a little more labor intensive but you can check it at the end of the round and compare to your deaths to get an idea of healing / life.

You too? xD

If there is a moral or a conspiracy behind that fact, though, I don't know yet.

Maybe it's a causality thing: Don't try so hard, do better.
