My Medic Quest

So the other day I noticed that I had an award for most ubersaw kills on a certain day. So that got me thinking, how many kills does the player on the server with the most have? That turned out to be Amplify with 128. So I made it my quest to reach that and exceed it. Long story short, I did (at 150 now) and felt pretty good.

But then, I thought to myself, well what about the other medic weapons, I bet people don't use those nearly as much. And it's true. So for the last two days I've been using the bone saw and have racked up 36 kills to beat Disregard Women, Get More Hats' record of 35 kills.

Now I'm working on the Vita-Saw (shimoroku has 22 kills)

Ranged weapons will be much trickier. Not because of the syringe gun, since I have already surpassed John Magnum's 47 kills with my 55. The real challenge will be the Blutslauger, for which Vier Von Kreuz holds the title with a whopping 145 kills. So, my quest over the next several weeks / until I get bored with it, will be to rack up medic kills until I have achieved the global award for each medic weapon.

as a side note, I noticed that my total medic kills is 239/ 24,057 by all players ever, or just shy of 1% - for such a large server this feels very impressive, but maybe in some far off future I will achieve such great heights as 2%

Bonesaw killing feels so good. I think if it did 20% more damage instead of firing 20% faster it would be on more equal footing with the Ubersaw, though

Also, getting good with the needle guns can be nice because absolutely no one expects it. You can take out some of the scouts that try to pick you that way (and pretty much every bad pyro )

I have 500 (exactly) to John Magnum's leading 1290

Ubercharge
I have 250 (again, exactly) to John Magnum's leading 460

Extinguished teammate (Medic)
I have 217 to John Magnum's leading 497

so, DEFINITELY going to be a long, long time; but in comparison to other players I'm 10th place for med assists, 5th for charges, and 3rd for med extinguishes so I think these numbers really reflect how ridiculously long + well Magnum has played Medic =D

Haha, it's true, but your KDR is only 0.24 (not that a medic SHOULD have a high KDR, but just saying)

It's really only because psyk's been away for so long that I hit the top of the Medic Kill Assist chart, anyway. Now that he's active, I'll probably only maintain the global awards for ubers and extinguishes.
We shall see! The key is gonna be for me to spend all my time pocketing people like fingerman, Snowsickle, Maringue, RapidTaco, etc. so I can get megapoints

Dude use the amputator on the cart. I got like 63 assists in a fast match for amputating the top of the cart with my entire team on it and getting an assist for EVERY single kill my team got.

you should just be trying to keep your team alive, the point stuff will come in time

As soon as I get an Amputator, I'll probably swap out the Ubersaw in favor of it. It should be utterly hilarious on Payload and CP maps.

i was gonna try to craft a Brass Beast (waiting on a spare Natascha to drop) and then i found a Brass Beast instead
