That kinda defeats the purpose of a strange to me. It always seemed like stranges were mainly a way of showing off your skill. Why does it matter how much you've been cloaked as spy? I could have a totally different perspective of stranges than most people, but still...

Not exactly. You could be a noob and keep using it and picking up ammo boxes(Or be on a trade server standing next to the resupply).

Well trade/idle servers are cheap period. You could upgrade any strange on an idle server.
