Server Lag

Has anyone else noticed a dramatic spike in server lag recently. I'm talking about people jumping all over the place. My ping is around 32, which is pretty good all things considered. The terrible connection, or if it's not the connection then the poor experience, when playing on the server has really made the choice between critsandvich and other servers easy.

Am I taking crazy pills here, or is there something else going on?

i dunno, i've had some lag spikes, but nothing unplayable, and i don't really have anything else to compare it to

It's strange, but I've grown used to the lag.
Sure, it doesn't register headshots 90% of the time, the hitboxes are trailing the animation by a few frames, enemies seemingly teleport, sound still plays as if one's character is stuck in time, actions (like building sentries) aren't registered, characters get stuck in corners as if the "w" button was held down, f2p players occasionally think you're speed hacking.... wait, what was my point?

I know I personally get lagspikes wherever I go, but asside from my occasional 2 minutes of doing nothing due to sudden 900+ ping, CSn servers run smoothly. Where are you connecting from?

I think the connection to me into this is the Item Server not working for anyone in my (clan's) Trade server, causing everyone not to trade (yet somehow people still want to trade, and steam trade will automatically error it)

This is that your loadout still works and it says it doesnt. :/

i only lag when im in chicago boxes or when steam decides to update a game when im in a game of tf2

I'm in Japan, so I'm always lagging. Stupid Japan....

The server lags once and while when its updating, but it gets done, and it does not do this regularly.
It should not be lagging once its done.
So I would summarize that it would be your connection.
But never the less I will bring it to the attention of the redmins. Thank you for bringing this up.

yesterday as I was playing on west2 i was getting a lot of framerate lag but normally i dont get that. I'm used to my crap internet and 80-120+ ping though so I don't notice lag as acutely as others.

i think there have been some lag issues the past few days, its been more than a couple people complaining about it too. i thought we (fingerman) had fixed it though.

A long time ago when I just started to play on CSn servers, my lag was so bad that I left and when I looked at the server browser it said I had about over 2000 ping at one time.
Now I don't know because I haven't played tf2 for some so.

I don't know anything about what is going on.
