i usually dont have medics healing me, if im behind enemy lines and im on fire or something its the only way i can not die, its very effective in 1:1 situations, the person with the most health wins usually and during a fight if you can regain health you have a very good chance of winning, also thats why i said rely on your shotgun, you can't usually take out a heavy with three rockets, so you switch and do about 60-80 damage per shot with the shotgun. its simple

I personally try to drop Black Box soldiers as fast as I possibly can, since they are weaker at protecting me and killing enemies than any other kind of soldier without the Rocket Jumper. That, and the weapon screams "I'm so unwilling to trust my life to my medic, I'm willing to gimp myself in order to avoid being helped by him"

well my kdr with the black box is about 2:1 which is pretty good for me because im not that good, i personally like it and im sorry if you dont

You use that black box, I find it easier to keep my pocket alive and it doesn't slow my uber down.

Just besure to keep it reloaded.

You're welcome to use it. Everyone plays TF2 differently; however, if your Medic is keeping you healed, you're paying an extra rocket of burst damage for no noticeable gain.

Of course, that won't stop me from healing you if your injured, nor will it keep me from prioritizing you if you're helping out the team quite a bit; it just means that in my eyes you've elected to take a measure of responsibility for your own health in the event that multiple patients need my simultaneous attention.
