He recorded demos while he played and either has some cfg script that makes his crits have nasty white "electrical" graphics on it or added them later. Then he replayed the demo, found the command to turn on rain and fog... and used smooth, spline angles, etc to setup custom cameras from different angles (I've tried it and I haven't figured it out yet, but it's how Machinima does all of their videos). There are also "secret" HD settings, some cvars that supposedly make your graphics even more impressing, perhaps he even forced dx10? IDK on that point with the better graphics, probably just a really nice system. And then TF2 has it's own built in movie recording feature (startmovie). However, this feature is incredibly intensive, it not only takes a lot of resources but a lot of space as well because it literally takes screenshots every frame and then you put all of the images together in a "slideshow" to make your completed video at an amazing quality.

It's possible that he even mixed in some of the beta source movie program that Valve supposedly will be releasing after they finish all of their "Meet The..." videos, which has, as we all know, taken forever (supposedly another is due to be released in the near future). I don't think this is the case though, because those parts weren't THAT impressive. The only way to get a hold of this program is illegally at this point and I've looked into it, the download destinations are rather shady.

Finally, he murdered shit... very important when making a frag video =X

Did I ruin your magic? Perhaps even stole his thunder (ahem)? If so, sorry, but you did ask, no? Enjoyable to watch none-the-less and better than I certainly can do.

EDIT: Also pretty sure he didn't do this, but a lot of the sweet recordings are from a spectator with the hud off and/or source tv.

Did you read the credits? He got a lot of help by the TF2maps.net community most likley for the map skins.
He added the skins to the Pldx Recording Tool, recorded all the shit at 240/480 FPS and edited everything in vegas, AE or w/e he used. :D

^only the very simplified version of his work and I don't know how he actually did all this.

btw it's very usual to fake some jumps with 1 spec who is recording everything, cos your own model would disappear during the smooth.

These are all European demomen, a few from the Premiere Division(numlocked, ryb, xzr, Mafu), dunno about the rest. :geek:
The editor of this video actually gets killed in it at one point if you watch the notifiers.

Yep but it's so long :D you could have reduced your text by half if you would know the options of the pldx recording tool. ^^

gdk is also a russian prem div or div1 demoman but he's inactive. ShYr1k and bon are in the same team with the editor (a russian div3 team) ;)
