Goomba stomp!

Oh how sweet it is!
Goomba stomp was recently disabled, because of the belief that no one reallly likes it. And, that it's unfair to heavies. Well what most people don't understand is that the goomba stomp does have an off switch, and we broadcast that ability often. I'm proposing that we have ONE (yes one) server with the goomba stump plugin available. Just to add more variety, and fun to our servers. With only one you have the option to pick a different server if you don't like goomba.


Yes, I know that some may feel OH NEW PEOPLE WON'T KNOW HOW TO TURN IT OFF. Well, they'll learn as soon as they say "How did that happen, how do i turn it off?"

So, pretty much I'm making the poll to see how many people are for/against this idea. Remember it wouldn't be on the main server. Most likely on server #2, and IT HAS AN OFF SWITCH.

I don't see how somebody can complain about goomba stomps. Their hilarious! Even when it happens to me, I'm laughing my ass off. The only people who bitch about it are the people who don't pay attention to chat, and really, they should get stomped. Because they can't hear my prophetic words.

Hey Hey, I didn't repeal the goomba stomp. That was all Benny cause a few people whined about how it was unfair. Go figure, for once, the minority got it's way.

Though it does appear to be unstable. I don't know if that's just cause the old 2F| server isn't being maintained or what.

It does kinda suck that a scout can simply double jump to kill someone. But the height distance can be changed. I also think the repel force needs to be increased.

Ill bring it to benny later then. It ran swell for a long time though on the 2f server. Not sure what happened. As for the scouts well they kept the heavy population to a minimum. It was like a snarky abortion.

Double jumping onto some1 while you're both on equal ground doesn't kill them, maybe if you jump on their head and then double jump again it might, but not plain double jumping. You have to at least jump off something that is taller than them.

Anyway it would be cool to get goomba stomp back, we publicly announced how to turn it off every few minutes if people didn't like it and it added something fun to the game.

I secondary Heavy, been stomped a bunch and never successfully stomped anyone. I say we should have one server where it's on by default. I probably won't even opt out.

There should be a height to weight ratio for goomba stomp. For example, a scout would have to fall from twice the distance a heavy would or something.

Also, goomba stomp effects more than just heavies and scouts. More than one pyro has airblasted me up above them, only to have me kill them when I land on them via the goomba stomp.

That's the dumb pyros fault. Why would someone stay under something anyways when you need to axe the burning scout as it comes down?

It's often you pin someone into a corner, axe them on the way down, and they probably touch the top of your head before your axe swings fully. I can see how it could be a problem, but I still want Goomba Stomp.

QUESTION: Can cloaked spies goomba stomp or do they need to be visible?

yes to goomba stomp on by default.
Though I would contend that it's a little broken that a bonk'd scout can still goomba stomp. In what other instance can a invulnerable player kill another besides environmental damage?
