black box or direct hit?

well recently i have noticed a ton of direct soldiers having a ball with their instant kills on low hp classes. but i actually want to know just why so many people neglect the black box for the direct hit. which is better? discuss.

I rediscovered the direct hit. I have a ton of hit registration issues with hit scan weapons. And I like rocking Smeemo with it. (He always jumps up and to his right.)
