Manul - Old Era cat that still lives

So searching for aircondition parts on Google I stumbled over this thing. -Wildcat from the old school
About 12 million years ago, it was one of the first versions of those cats, from which came the modern cats. According to research by scientists Man'ula have not changed since then.
The reason I reacted to it was it eyes. Simlar pupils as we humans have. Growing up with cats at home its imprinted in my head that the cat eyes pupils on a regular cat are kinda, vertical line pupils that widens sideways instead. So maybe its the eyes that have made them survive for so long, finding prey or avoid larger animals. I always like to learn about random stuff hope you to enjoy this. Thursday Learning!
