All these comments about snow and I haven't even seen snow for 4 years.... :(

For non-Americans, the entire eastern border of Missouri is on the Mississippi River. Basically, all of Missouri is to the west of the Mississippi. Also, "Mississippi" means the state. "The Mississippi" refers to the river. The same applies to "Missouri" (state) and "The Missouri" (river).

Also, there's this:

Specific cities named included Detroit and Philadelphia, and the entire state of Rhode Island.


This pretty much explains the insanity that is Family Guy.
