To start off, I'm catching up on my geography journals, i.e.

Currently finishing the Maze Runner series. Feels very young adult like.

@potatoes, how're you liking The Way of Kings?
I tried it but it didn't catch me after 2 hours, so I switched to something else...

Yes. I listen to a ton of audiobooks. The only real rules for this thread are that in your post, you include the title of (or a picture) of the book (or books (journals if you're the academic sort count as well)) you are currently reading through. You can reply to other people sans a book, but I would encourage that you include one regardless.

So to be consistent, here is a book I'm working on.

Currently invested in reading with my $300 worth of networking books, but they've been easy to use and great on tests and exams.
Only used the Windows 7 one once, and that was just to prove to my instructor that I had it, so I probably won't be using it anytime soon.

Space Physics: An Introduction to Plasmas and Particles in the Heliosphere and Magnetospheres - Kallenrode
Fundamentals of Geometry (i.e. proving geometry concepts from Euclid's axioms)

The Melancholy of Haruhi SuzumIya, the 14th manga. My power was out the other day and read through 12-14 that I had stacked up.

Makes me feel bad I haven't read an actual fiction book in years. I probably read over a thousand of them back in elementary and middle school. Just ended up getting sick of them really or enthralled by computer based reading.

The last book I attempted to read was like Atlas Shrugged.

I've got Shepherd's crown, brave new world, and the sequel to to kill a mockingbird on my reading list right now.

For work I've got a small library of books on .net, system architecture, and financial regulations that I am currently making progress against. I might be able to finish that pile by mid January if I'm lucky.

I'm going in publication order, and from what I understand the early Rincewind novels aren't as good as his later work, but I enjoyed the hell out of Mort. I'm on Sourcery now which I've heard is one of his weaker ones but I can't stop myself.

I also read Good Omens a while back which is a collab between him and Gaiman (who I love also) and that was fantastic.

Just finished reading the book Tobacco Stained Mountain Goat by Andrez Bergen, and I gotta say its probably one of my favorite books. Its a post-apocalyptic noir set in Melbourne Australia following a guy named Floyd Maquina, an alchoholic, movie lover who gets thrown into the middle of the cities problems. Also the publisher put a pdf of the full book on their website for anyone to see, so if you want to read a few chapters and see if you like it. http://anothersky.org/asp/in-print/toba ... /#download

THIS THREAD WILL LIVE GOD DAMN IT. So I just finished the 2nd book in the dark tower series, The Drawing of Three. The series has been pretty good so far and Im about to start the 3rd book. Im trying to get the series done fast because they just started filming for the Dark Tower movie which is kinda hard to see how they'll do it, but Im still hopeful.
