I used to love messing with different distros, haven't done so in a while. I was thinking about buying a Chromebook and either checking out ChromeOS or installing Ubuntu or something on it.

yeah I was on xp before, then mircosoft discontinued it... so i when on ubuntu 14.04, it was painless to install but I hated that it came with unity desktop, it's slow. I don't think I gave debian a good using, I got the stable, should have gotten testing because stable just didn't have anything in it's repos. however gentoo had everthing i needed once i got it installed and it's been a fun learning experience.

I have a Raspberry Pi I've been trying to practice Linux with and I have the version of Debian adapted for it. Other than that the only desktop versions I've used are Ubuntu, Debian and Mint. I think my favorite's a tie between Debian and Mint and I like the Cinnamon gui. Don't like Unity either.
