And you can always post your My Little Pony fandom on a, you know, a My Little Pony forum instead of saturating every other post with forced-MLP shit?

There's like one brony post every other week

Not really sure what you are saying. You saying ponies are somehow involved in every post? Most of us keep ponies out of posts that aren't related. I don't see anyone spamming ponies on the admin vs comm sign up or any kind of shit like that. Also you can notice any topics are kept in the SPAM FEST section.

You're not a brony and you know it. You're better than these horse loving arse wipes.

What's less socially acceptable, flaunting brony-ism in public or flaunting animu fandom in public?

In my honest opinion brony-ism is worse. But not by much.
We're all nerds here and CSn forums isnt considered "public"

Not once have I ever said that I hated the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic television show. (Disregard the fact that my sig is of Action Hank, which was actually my favorite Dexter's Lab episode.) If you like My Little Pony, I won't stop you. I honestly couldn't care less.
That's not the point I'm making.
The fact of the matter is, most of the people that love My Little Pony never shut the hell up about it. They feel like liking a cartoon makes them "special", so they have to create a group exclusive to people who love the show. The bad part is that, even with a social enclave of people who mutually enjoy the show, they still find the need to post ponies everywhere, talk about the show, and shove the show down people's throats.
I'll give an example:
This ninny goes up to that poor woman at 1:50. He complains that he got the wrong pony, and acts incredulous when the girl doesn't know which one is which. Finally, he tries to tell her that he's a "Brony", a member of a group on the Internet that blah blah blah blah blah blah...
Here's the thing. If you like the cartoon, fine. But if you want to be "shown respect" for liking the show, then you need to show respect to everyone else by not shoving the fucking fandom down our throats.

So what you're saying is people shouldn't share the things they like? We should all delete our TF2 replays from youtube, throw away any branded T shirt we own, take posters of bands or movies we like off our walls, use a blank desktop etc, etc ,etc? No one is forcing anything down your throat, you came here to a thread about MLP, and started forcing your BS down our throats. What you're doing is basically going to a Rush concert (or whatever band you'd like to substitute) and yelling at people for liking it. It makes no sense.

Saber wrote:Spyder, you do not know fandom.
You don't know the shipping, the porn, the fanfics, the art, the nightmares, the delusions, the fear itself, the abyss that true fandom is. Again, if you're gonna let a smaller subset represent the whole, then you might as well go into working at a news station. Again, man, it's mostly you being totally unable to deal with things that just happen to be there. As a wise man once said, "Stop bitching and just go do something else."
There was something else I was going to say besides this but I'm tired and shit. Anyway just deal with it and for fuck's sake please stop complaining about people who don't harm you in any way. It's not like they do ponyspeak or anything. They just have pony sprays and avatars, no big deal. And stuff.
NOW CHEER THE FUCK UP.
seriously though, this guy's work kicks ass.

Spyder, in case you've forgotten, people did run screaming around the internet making Simpsons in-jokes back when it was popular, just not as many of them because not as many people watched it. People like to talk about things that they like, and the more they like something, the more they like to talk about it. As long as there are people who like MLP, there will be MLP talk. As long as there are lots and lots of people who really like MLP, there will be lots of MLP talk. You're completely welcome to ignore it if you don't like it, but since this is a (relatively) public message board, you will sometimes run into conversations between other people about ponies; they're not intended for you, in almost every situation, you've just stumbled into them like a person stumbling into a conversation in a subway or school hallway.
We all stumble into conversations we're not comfortable with, or that just plain bore us. The best thing to do is usually to just back away slowly and move on like nothing happened without involving yourself in the situation; that way you can get on with your life.
Honestly Spyder, with all the time and thought you've spent discussing how tired of mlp you are, you probably talk about ponies more than a lot of bronies that I know. That seems like a sign that you're letting your focus on hating the show actually involve you further into the show (which also gives you more hate to focus on and thus a further involvement..etc). If you really don't care about MLP, I don't see why you're still posting about it, and now, making pony threads.
(Fun science fact for you bronologists, the phenomena Spyder is going under is classic denial behavior for a non-brony who has for some reason or another passed the maximum point of safe brony observation for the black hole of our fandom: instead of taking the most energy-efficient path and slingshotting around the gravitational well, he's burning all his energy trying to directly counteract the pull and get out. Unfortunately, due to the passage of said point, his energy is merely causing him to (much more slowly than normal) be dragged towards the event horizon. Lacking further changes in his momentum, he will eventually fall into the singularity and implode, as all bronies except those released as hawking radiation are fated to do. Physics is fun!)
Techercizer wrote: Ninja is so far past the event horizon most observers in the light cone of her entry will never be able to inform us of this in the practical future. (Physics is fun!)

This thread is stupid and pointless.
If someone likes a show, and they want to make that show their life by displaying it through anything they can find, which is all our pony fans do.
Then cool, thats their prerogative, I have never seen a brony (on our servers) try to force anything on any of you.
I think you guys are confusing excessive display for forcing.
Personally Im not interested in watching it but.....I find the sprays and stuff kinda cute.......I mean just look at ninja signature.
Now like it or not ponies make up part of our community here on CSn.
Please stop attacking them, they leave you well enough alone.
