The Raid (or The Raid: Redemption as it is known in American because of reasons) is an Indonesian film about an elite SWAT team trying to take over an apartment complex filled with some of Jakarta's worst criminals. The team's plan goes to shit and have to fight their way out. That's really all there is to it, plotwise, but you're not here for the plot. You're here for the bloody, brutal, and unrestricted violence. This is one of those action movies where the film has exactly one thing to its name: the fucking action. The movie is essentially a 90 minute fight fest, and it works. If you get a chance, check it out. At the very least, you'll have fun with it.
