Yesterday my kid really wanted to play tf2. He's tried it out before, never for that long. Figured he's 9 now. About the mentality of most that play the game. Why the hell not right? I stuck him with bots for about 20 minutes. He found heavy to be the most fun (and easiest to play.) He wanted to play with real people. So I connected him to a random server, wished him luck, and went off to start making dinner.
I come back about 5 minutes later. The map was Gravel Pit. He's playing Heavy, sitting behind a teleport, with a medic, in B killing everything that comes through. "Dad what do I do they keep coming through this thing." My reply; "you know you can destroy the teleport right? " "Oh really? But why would I? "
So a kid with almost no gaming experience,(I firmly believe a child should be outside and not in front of a video game,) gets 30 minutes of game time and dominates and rages 4 people. I am so proud...
Remember this face (even tho it's an old picture.)
He will be coming to slay you soon.
PS Next time I'll let him talk
