I'm really tired of how some colleges still treat their students like 12 year olds. I'm 19 years old and have been in a committed relationship for 3 years, but I have to sneak my girlfriend into my building to spend the night because apparently my school thinks I'm too young to spend the night with a girl. Seriously? It's like my 12th fucking birthday, where girls could be there, but not spend the night, because that would be innapropriate!
Seriously, I pay 8 grand a year to live here. That's just to live here, not counting food, laundrey services, mail, parking, and getting fined because some moron in my hall couldn't handle his drinks and puked in the stairwell. And I'm paying for it, with scholarships and loans that I got, my parent's aren't paying a dime. Yet I'm not allowed to have my girlfriend over a few nights a week because, what, it breaks Franciscan values (my college is a Franciscan Catholic School, not that I'm either)?
My girlfriend's school doesn't pull this bullshit, but I can't go there whenever I want, I have to be up at 5:30 4 nights out of the week for PT, not to mention training events on weekends that go all day. Telling us that she can't come here is effectively stopping us from seeing each other. They wouldn't even know about her coming here if my fucking old roommates hadn't narked on me because they were a bunch of bitches. They woke up at 10:00 every day and simply had to stay up until 2 every morning so they can play video games with their friends, keeping me from getting less sleep then I already did with my early mornings. Oh, but I woke them up when I left for PT, then she did when she left a few hours later, and they only had three more fucking hours to roll over and go back to sleep. My new roommates actually like when she's over!
It hasn't happened yet, but my RD recently banned a commuter from ever coming into my Dorm again because he kept spending the night and hinted that my girlfriend might be in the same boat. We've been dating since high school, and last year we didn't see each other once. Seriously, 372 days where the best we got to do was Skype, because I was in college and her family moved out of state. We went through all that with the hopes that we would be together when she got to school (she's a year younger then me), and now something else might be getting in the way of it. And all because of some stupid, outdated, draconian bullshit rule that my school for some reason still has.

Just had to get that off my chest. Feel free to completely ignore this and get on with your lives.
