I was already accepted to college with an ROTC Scholarship, was going to graduate anyway, and had 19 college credits under my belt. I ended up spending most of my time dicking around on my school's stage or playing guitar instead of going to classes.
I sometimes miss those days.
19? how?
My High School offered a ton of college courses out of the local Community College and through something called Syracuse University Project Advanced (SUPA). My dad was the Superintendant of my school district and he brought them in. Of course, he also made me take every single course. I told him it wasn't a good idea with the last semester. Sure showed him.
Actually, if I had passed even 2 of those classes I would be a year ahead. I can't really complain, though, because I'm already a semester ahead (this is the second semester of my sophomore year and I'm technically a junior) which really just means that I get a better housing lottery number and can (and do) take less credits each semester.
Disclaier: Don't let this make you think that I am in any way a good student. Like I said, I didn't have a choice but to take these classes, but I'm a MASTER at bullshitting papers, which is partially why I'm a History major, and almost all of my teachers really liked me. So that helped.
