Football Fans?

I know this is a shot in the dark on a gaming-based forum, but any other American Football lovers out there?

If so, you do you have winning the Lombardi? Right now I say 49ers.

Since i'm a saints fan, i'm going to say 49ers. That way, at least we lost to the champs...

Probably the Patriots. Texans lost, which I knew they would, so I really don't care now. Getting to the playoffs works for me.

I like you're thinking, Cash. Maybe I should pull for the Ravens...

packers dug their own grave pretty hard. turnovers, drops, unnecessary onside kicks...im a big packers fan, but that was pathetic. horrible way to end a season

fuck the giants and the niners, i can't stand either team. The niners have gotten through with a terrible offense and the giants rely on the miscues by the other team.

As a Lions therefore NFC guy im almost ashamed to say this but i want the AFC to win this year. Pats are much more likeable these days and the Raven's, who haven't been as solid, deserve the spot they are in.

BTW next year superbowl is Lions vs. Broncos

It's not so much relying on miscues of the other team as much as it is playing great defense for San Francisco. There's a reason they are the #1 defense in the NFL.
But anyone who says "defense wins championships" is an idiot.

Repeat.

If anyone was on the Slaybox 1 not too long ago, I instigated a pretty long conversation on this very subject.

Please don't write off the Giants. The only thing that matters in the regular-season is getting to the post-season. The Giants and the Packers proved that today. So you can be butthurt because the Lions choked or Tebow proved that he was all hype, but even if the Giants lose next week they still proved they're a great team. Nobody expected us to even make it to the playoffs, let alone nock out the team that was on a run for a perfect season. Nobody gave us a chance today, and yet even with two blown calls by the Reffs that led to touchdowns, we still came out with a deciding victory. So get ready to be shocked, because the Giants have been a massive upset many times before.

I accept that my butt is sore cause it is. The Lions did choke, offensively they weren't bad but the defense was horrendous.

Tebow was also named starter for off-season, but I think Tebow would be better elsewhere then Denver. Maybe Jacksonville(ESPN FIrstTake opinion).... Jonse-Drew > McGahee. Also don't be surprised if Denver drafts a QB, they only have 2.

And another thing, did Kansas City not prove anything?

I liked that one game where Tebow scored a home run while he was halfway across the court.

The one at the final hole during the shoot-off in extra innings where he tagged the goal-keeper?

I think in all the Tebow news, Cam Newton has been forgotten. If the Panthers play it right and get some good defense. They are definitely a team to look out for. They average a decent amount of points and they're team is very young and hungry for a better season after a disappointing finish.

The reason I'll happilty rip on Tebow is because he got all the credit when really it was his team.

Tebow's alright but he deffinately didn't cary his team. He became famous because of the prayers, then they started doing well enough, and because he became so famous so fast he was given the credit.

None the less, GO GIANTS! :D

Von Miller made a bigger impact for the Broncos then Tebow did in my opinion.

While I agree, it doesn't bug me as much. Every team needs a leader. He shares the same leadership qualities of another person who takes all the credit for his team, Tom Brady(I know people who know football will say his TE or welker, but honestly who does it come down to). Tebow is a leader, alright player, but a leader, and if Denver doesn't let him lead, then I suggest he leads somewhere else.

You know what, as disappointed as I am with the the playoffs. I'm happy that all the talk about high power offenses and how they dominate(Green Bay's, Detroit, Panthers, Saints, etc etc....) can now be finished. The Ravens and Niners rely on their defense to win games. The Giants are kinda balanced (just inconsistent in the season which is why they have few wins), while the Pats are offense-driven. That's 2.5 defensive teams out of the 4 left which is pretty good considering how many offensive records were broke this year.
