I have learned tonight that apparently I am so old that I kill shit to music about killing shit... I cannot believe how many of you youngins that call yourself gamers that completely dislike rock, metal, or anything with a "heavy" rift. I understand music is subjective, but I can't kill shit to Justin Bieber and I can't down a fifth of vodka and say fuck the man to Hannah Montana.

Dude i grew up on all that classic rock stuff. I may be 19 but that's all i listened (and still listen) to. My parents were born in the 50s so i know eeeeeverrryyyttthhiiiing from that time on, especially the 60s-70s I usually don't listen to music when I play TF2 though, sometimes I find it hard to concentrate, but if I were to do so, it'd probably be Clapton or ABB or Zep, along those lines.

Yeah I don't understand the whole Beiber and Miley Cyrus bullshit.

I usually heal to fast paced and heavy trance music.

On all the games I played the fast music gives me a placebo effect, I guess. I also enjoy the beats and the lack of vocals.

I don't listen to music that isn't designed to be a natural part of the game's ambiance; it dulls my situational awareness and often sets a pace different from that of the current gameplay scenario, causing issues.

Touhou music is good for touhou playing, though.

i think this is too much of a generalization, not as many people listen to this music as it is portrayed by the media, and for the most part the only people listening to justin bieber are 10 year old girls
