Also, you have to check for cobwebs to see if it was a BROSPIDER.
In the wild, the BROSPIDER builds webs and preys upon insects like the WHATHEFUCKISTHAT and the OHMYGODIT'SDISGUSTING, you will find such insects in their webs.
If this is the case, give him a ham sandwich and let him live, he's earned it.

When I was ripping walls out of my basement had 7-8 brownies in the insulation and shit.
This time of year not much you can do to keep spiders out. They'll still find a way. I generally hit openings with home defense maxx. But they always find a way in.

I had a banana spider make a web between my fingers when I lived on Guam. He was just chilling in the mail box and it freaked me out but when we found out he wasn't dangerous it was pretty cool.

Maringue wrote:Also, as the wikipedia article states (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobo_spider), most if not all of the hobo spider bites that become necrotic are actually brown recluse bites. Basically, if you felt the bite then you are in the clear, which is why brownie bites are bad since most people never knew they got bitten.

Placement is key, put them against the wall under your bed and probably two other places in the room. Always put them against the wall because spiders and other insects use the corners of the wall to move around your room. They prefer tight places, having two surfaces, the wall and the floor. If you have a floor vent, put one near the vent because they will use the air ducts to travel. You do not have to fold them, just leave them open. You will be able to catch or monitor spider activity in your room.

You can't buy glue traps at Home Depot anymore. PETA forced them to remove the traps from their shelves years ago.
Just use a flyswatter, a shoe or a heavy book and smash the thing; that's what I do (though we primarily have wolf spiders here).

They've been campaigning against the sale and use of glue traps for years.

So doesn't mean they don't exist. In fact, I have three up right now.
