Holy Shit. That was one of the most obscure anime I can think of.
Edit: Managed to trick it with an obscure video game reference though; apparently it doesn't know about Chantelise.

I thought of a Character from an old SNES game, Secret of the Stars, named Tina. He couldn't guess her and I won!

Took him 30+ guesses and 3 tries, but he finally guessed Ed Wood. He also got Miranda from Mass Effect 2 on the first try. Dexter Morgan on the second.

He got me the first two times. (Heavy from TF2 and Hawke from Dragon Age 2) He lost the third time when I thought of Richard Miller from Time Crisis.
