Gizmodo writer dumps famous Magic player

Talk about random stuff that has nothing to do with TF2 or other games.

Gizmodo writer dumps famous Magic player

This article about a Gizmodo writer's brief relationship with World Champion Magic: The Gathering player Jon Finkel is just appalling. Not only did she dump him for his hobby, she publicly humiliated him. What a bitch.

See, being famous doesn't automatically get you laid. Although, to me, the guy obvious took it seriously, and who wouldn't at that point, but it didn't appear to be his only interest, so if you're not into it and he has other things to do and talk about other than the one thing you dislike, why does it matter? Oh, because women are heinous blood-thirsty succubi from the black abyss, that's why.

She only stopped liking him once he said the work Magic. She was too damn shallow to look past his job/hobby/title/whatever because the stigma surrounding games and geekery is too great, which is interesting, because she is a writer for fucking Gizmodo, a tech blog. At the very least, she could have been respectful about it, instead of writing about it for all to see.

Interesting read....more so since I play MTG here and there (used to a lot more years ago)

Love her over focus in a hobby he enjoys....and makes good money at doing to boot.

Dumb gamer hating bitches will be dumb gamer hating bitches though

edit: Have to say personally to me at least she isn't a looker...

First, I'm going to agree with the Forbes article here: http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2011/08/30/the-science-of-gawkers-nerd-baiting/
She totally did this on purpose. Although they think it will earn her some cash for all the hits, I think it's going to backfire because nerds are hella vindictive. They will not forget this shit ever.

Secondly, yes, she's being a dumb bitch. If you're a writer on Gizmoto and want to date guys that used to be in Beta Theta Pi and are still wearing their pink polo shirts, then OKcupid is probably not the place to look.

Lastly, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. She is most likely a semi-broke freelance writer for on online tech website. He is a champion Magic play, WSOP player and also happens to be a managing partner at a the hedge fund Landscape Capital Management. Is she good enough at any of her hobbies to get a paid sponsorship to participate? If I was a chick I would feel like I just won the fucking internet dating lottery.

The irony here is that if she got someone she was looking for, then he would have probably dumped her broke, nerdy ass the morning after he fucked her.

If you google her, there are a lot of people out there who have already written articles to "counter" hers. But I'm going to stand by my original saying that all girls really want is to just suck out your soul, whether through your emotions or your penis, they will devour you whole. Dating women is like smoking, you know it's bad for you, but you do it anyway!
